Welcome to The Peoria Area Cachers website. We are a non-profit organization of geocachers in the Peoria, Illinois area. PAC is an interactive social group with strong ties to our surrounding communities, and with goals based on a strong geocaching community.
MOGA ramblings and summer 2012 proceedings
Hey everbody! Well, if you missed MOGA this year, you missed out! PAC was extremely well represented, and several of our members placed in group and individual competitions! The best part? It was announced that 2013 MOGA will be held RIGHT HERE in central Illinois, at Lake Shelbyville! So, no excuses for not attending…this means YOU! 
With spring in full swing and summer drawing near, PAC also has many planned events on the horizon. In addition to the monthly Meet and Greets, be on the lookout for a CITO, a Cache Aid event, our 2nd annual float trip, 2nd annual fish fry, the World Wide Flash Mob in June, and much more…of course, it will all culminate with the PAC Bash in early fall! PACB 2011 thank you
The PAC board would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that attended the Peoria Area Cache Bash this year! We had a great turn out once again. We want to give an especially big thank you to all those who volunteered their time and efforts in to getting this event put together. This is our biggest event of the year and a lot of work goes into making this happen. We would like to ask anyone that would like to help to speak up and give us a hand for next year. Even if you can’t volunteer your time, please volunteer your ideas, comments, and concerns. We would like to know what you enjoyed, what you didn’t, and what we should improve.
Every person in this organization has a voice; we would like to hear them all. It is not a few planning for many, but a group planning their activities. This is the reason that the Friday Night Meet and Greet location is chosen by a different member every month. We want everyone to be involved as much or little as they want. It will only improve the strength and fun of the organization.
Planning for the 2012 PACB will begin in November, so chew on some ideas for a theme, a venue, food, games, activities, coins, or anything else you would like to see so we can have an even better time next September!
PAC summer update
A great time was had this past weekend by all members attending the fish fry and float trip! If you weren’t there – well you missed the events of the year! Plans are already underway to do it all again next year, so we hope to have EVERYONE there in 2012!

PAC has also had a bumper crop year for new members! About ten new cachers have been added to the ranks – make sure to swing by the Members page and see who’s who in PAC, and drop a note to say welcome! And for those of you who AREN’T yet a member…well, what are you waiting for?!? Just do it!
